I am a baking lover. Nothing can beat the aroma of freshly baked cookies and cakes. Tell me something, are you among those who save the corner pieces? If yes, you are like me. Corner pieces are the best part of any cake or bread. Aren’t they? Recently, I made this chocolate chip banana bread, and believe me, it…was….irresistible!! If your kids make a face when you say banana bread, then think of adding chocolate chips, and they will surely try it. My daughter is not a big fan of banana bread, but when she saw chocolate chips in it, she wanted to try it. The entire batch of freshly baked Chocolate Chip Banana Bread was over in less than one week.
Another point is that I used all-purpose flour and whole wheat flour. The bananas were nicely ripened, it didn’t require a lot of sugar. Less sugar, bananas, chocolate chip, and whole wheat flour – can we ask for more? It was hard to wait for this to cool, so I waited until It was just no longer hot. This is an excellent breakfast bread, but it also works as a dessert bread (because – of the chocolate!).
You can use either a stand mixer, an electric hand mixer, or even whisk this together by hand with a little extra effort. I did it manually.
For making this irresistible chocolate chip banana bread,
You will need:
Dry ingredients:
1. 1 cup – all-purpose flour
2. 2/3 cup – whole wheat flour
3. 1 teaspoon – baking powder
4. 1/2 teaspoon – baking soda
5. 1/4 teaspoon – salt
Wet ingredients:
6. 3 – riped bananas, mashed
7. 1 teaspoon – vanilla essence
8. 2 – eggs
9. 1/2 cup – sugar
10. 1/2 cup – oil
Method:
1. Preheat the oven to 400-degree F. Line your loaf pan with butter paper and keep it aside.
2. Whisk wet ingredients and then mix dry with wet.
3. Then add 1/2 cup chocolate chips (coat chocolate chips with 1 tablespoon flour so that they spread evenly in the bread and not just get in the bottom)
4. Bake for 20 minutes. Do the toothpick test.
5. Let the chocolate chip banana bread rest for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool.
Notes:
1. Be sure eggs, butter, and bananas are at room temperature. If using frozen ripe bananas, thaw them for a couple of hours before using.
You can also make muffins with the same batter.
2. For Mini muffins, baking time will be13 minutes
3. For the Large one, baking time will be 20 minutes
4. You can also add walnuts.
