If you are a Paan lover, you are sure to try recipes made with it. Be it Paan ice cream or paan shots, you will love it. Summer has already started, and now people are getting back to their everyday lives, having started to have guests over. Finding a dessert option sometimes gets challenging because we don’t want it to be heavy. One such recipe is Paan shots. It will be a perfectly refreshing drink that anyone will be willing to try after a heavy meal, and you don’t have to worry about dessert.
Recently, I had a few guests over, and after our dinner, when I said dessert time, I could make out from their expressions that they were pretty full, but when I said I have Paan shots, the refreshing color caught their eyes and heart as well.

So, here is the recipe for quick and easy Paan Shots, which is sure to win your and your guest’s heart.
You will need:
1.Meetha Paan – 5 big leaves
2.Gulkand – 1 tablespoon
3.Sauf (fennel seeds) – ½ teaspoon
4.Desiccated coconut – 2 tablespoons
5.Powdered sugar – 1 teaspoon
6.Cardamom powder -pinch
7.Ice cubes
8.Green food color – optional
9.Vanilla Ice cream or heavy cream– ½ cup
10.Tutti-frutti or pistachios or cherry – for garnishing
Let’s make it:
1. Wash and remove the stem of paan leaves. Tear them into big pieces. Add all the ingredients except vanilla ice cream and food color. Blend it until smooth.
2. You can add a few drops of green food color. Gulkand may make change the green color. Give it a nice pulse.
Now, you have options how your want to serve it.
a)You can use vanilla icecream and blend it with paan mixture. or
b)You can also use heavy cream instead of vanilla ice cream and blend it. or
c)Use ice cream and milk.
My family’s favorite: I tried all three options, and my family liked the last one. Ice cream and milk.
4.Pour it into shot glasses. If you don’t have them, then use any small glass. Please remember that we are, as a dessert, so keep the quantity accordingly.
5.Garnish it with tutti-frutti or sliced pistachios or cherry.
Note:
1.You can keep this entire dessert ready in the fridge and serve it when it’s time.
2.Since we are using all the ingredients used for a paan, this drink will end your meal on a Paan note. I insist and highly recommend you try this at home; you will love it.

Paan Shot sounds really exotic. I guess i would really love the option with ice cream. The flavour of Paan is something really unique.
