Recently, I got a chance to collaborate with BeeTee’s Melt. Since I am not in India, I requested the brand to ship it to my sister’s address. Therefore, I am sharing her honest review about BeeTee’s Melt chocolates.

What’s unique in BeeTee’s Melt Chocolates?

First, let’s talk about the brand

This brand is a brainchild of Thamarai, a very young, passionate, and a talented entrepreneur. She has always had a passion for food. At a very young age, she tried her hands on making chocolates from the couverture baking chocolate. Her interest motivated her to educate herself about making chocolate from scratch. But her hunger to learn more about it didn’t stop there. She completed the international course in chocolate making. And that’s how the brand Bee Tee’s Melt was born. They are called Artisan’s chocolates in which the best of the ingredients are picked from different parts of the world.

Another point that makes this brand a crowd-pleaser is the uniqueness they are bringing into their chocolates. Can you imagine a bar of chocolate without artificial sweeteners? Well, these chocolates have taken into consideration the health aspects of their consumers. Therefore, there is no artificial sweetener used in these chocolates. Instead, they have used palm sugar, jaggery, brown sugar, and coconut sugar.

My sister was very impressed with its packaging and delivery.

Packaging:

This is the first time I have received chocolates via courier. I must say, it was a pleasant experience. The three chocolate bars were nicely packed in a black cardboard box with a small ice gel pack to maintain low temperatures for the chocolates from melting. Even the cardboard box was covered with silver foil and neatly bubble-wrapped. This, I am assuming to avoid it from the direct sunlight.

I wasn’t surprised by her words because while browsing through their website, I came across their packaging method as quoted: “We ship the products in a thermally insulated box with non toxic reusable ice pack to ensure the chocolates reach in good condition.”

Taste:

1. 48% milk chocolate

Ingredients: Cacao Beans, Brown Sugar, Cocoa Butter and Milk

Weight: 55gm

Price: Rs.280.00

Experience: It has brown sugar as a sweetening agent and significantly less milk solids. When you have a bite of it, it feels as if you are eating a bar of dark chocolate, but then you feel the sweetness of brown sugar. Which is unrefined sugar.

2. 54% coconut milk chocolate

Ingredients: Coconut Milk, Cacao Beans, Cacao Butter and Coconut Sugar. (Vegan Chocolate)

Weight: 55gm

Price : Rs.280.00

Experience: As the name indicates, it is a vegan product. After a few seconds of taking a bite, you will feel coconut blasting in your mouth. They have also used coconut butter which gives a little bit of buttery flavor. To put it in other words, coconut fats still linger in your mouth for a long. People who use coconut oil in their daily consumption and who follow a vegan diet will love it.

3. 78% dark chocolate with palm sugar

Ingrediens: Cacao Beans, Palm Sugar and Cacao Butter (Vegan chocolate)

Weight: 55gm

Price: Rs.280.00

Experience: This one is dark chocolate, bitter in taste. I didn’t feel any sweetness in this chocolate. 90-99% dark chocolates hardly have any sugar content, this one, on the other hand, has 72% cocoa, and for sweetness, they have used palm sugar.

Dark chocolate lovers and vegan diet followers will love it. But people like me who grew up eating Cadbury’s Dairy Milk chocolate, for them it will be a once in a while try.

Overall experience about BeeTee’s Melt Chocolates:

The best part about both these chocolates is despite of using such different sweeteners and butter, they were able to keep the original chocolate flavor intact.

Final thoughts:

Overall, these chocolates speak of the quality ingredients they are made with; they are quite enriching to the taste buds. Talking about the price, then Rs. 280.00 for a 55gm sounds slightly expensive, but if you are gifting it to a true dark chocolate lover or a vegan diet follower, don’t think twice. Looking at the quality, ingredients, and taste, it is worth the price.
