Are you following your passion? Are you doing what you love? Is your work and passion in alignment?  We all have many hidden talents and skills. Find what you are good at, gain some extra knowledge, prepare yourself and ignite.

Most of the times, the question that strikes first is am I really good at this that I can take it as a career option? So, first thing is to think of the things you like to do. Do you enjoy cooking? Are you good with kids and enjoy working with them? Are you the mom that other moms look up to for your skills? You got your answers – 3 business ideas.

Now a days, making a living doing what you love along with taking care of your family needs is within the grasp of most of the moms. They opt this option willingly.

Quite often I face this question what exactly I do when I say I am a freelance writer. Usual assumption is “alright so you write.” But I can see there are still many questions in their minds. Then next assumption is it’s easy right.. ghar baithe baithe ho jata hai (you can do it from your home at your comfort level). But have they realized  it’s not that easy as it sounds . When you are working from home (especially having a baby at home), you have to find or should I say steal extra minutes to open your laptop, think and write. Before that you have to make sure that the baby is fed, showered, changed and put to sleep. And the meals are ready for the family. After this if you are lucky then your baby is still asleep. Is it still sounds that easy?

You can read my journey of how I got into writing and why I see it as one of my career options. Few weeks ago, I met a friend who reads my blog regularly. She said, “I really like your posts. You pick good topics and write from your heart. So, what is coming next?” I felt so proud at that moment and for that question. I realized that my writing is making a difference in someone’s life and that feeling is so fulfilling. Next she said, “I don’t know how you find time to do all this.”

Are you doing what you love?

Last whole week have been thinking what to write next but wasn’t able to finalize any specific topic. But then one of the whatsapp messages gave me this topic. I am in India right now, enjoying my time with my parents, in-laws, sister, niece, bil. Before leaving from USA, I saved few posts since I knew I won’t be able to write immediately and I published them when I got my internet connection here. One of my friends read the latest post and said, it’s nice that you still keeping up with your writing schedule when you are vacation.

To me it is more of a satisfactory feeling of doing justice with what I have started and promised myself to give my sincere efforts. It’s about following my passion; its about doing what I love. When we do what we love, we automatically find time. It’s a blessing when your work and passion compliment each other. Not all are that fortunate.

We all have many hidden talents and skills. Find what you are good at, gain some extra knowledge, prepare yourself and ignite. Yes, I said ignite. Because when you launch your new identity with full preparation, it’s like a new chapter has started in your life. Whatever follow is what you have wished for, dreamt for.

So..mommies..don’t restrict yourselves. Find your favorite area you want to work in and convert it into a passion. And see the magic of joy what you get when you answer the question Are you doing what you love? You will proudly say Yes…
