A New Beginning – adore womanhood

“Am I doing right? What will everyone think of me?” It was a big day for Amara. It was her wedding day – a new beginning for her. Amara was thinking about how all this had started. The letter Chris gave her a week ago had changed her life. A few days back, Amara doubted her decision to think about what people would say or how her son would react to this decision. But the letter she was holding answered all her questions. She read it once again. It was all about adoring and embracing womanhood with an open heart.

Dear Mamma,

I know you must be crying today. You must be looking at my photo and thinking about what will I feel about you? First of all, please stop crying, which I know is pointless to say..:) and now stop worrying about others. Chris is the man of your new life; he is your new beginning. He waited for you for so long. After Dad passed away, I have seen him getting worried about you. I had seen him feeling sad when you were sad. I am writing this letter to you lying on the bed in the hospital. It was his idea. Maybe because somewhere he knew you better than me. Trust me; if I were there today, then I would have said yes. So, don’t worry about anyone. You have always worried a lot about others. Today is your day. Best of luck and smile!!

Yours naughty yet lovingly,

Sam

Amara got married at a very young age. She wanted to study further and work, but she couldn’t express her desire in front of her parent’s wishes. She wasn’t sure if she was making the right choice. But to her surprise, it was the best decision of her life so far. Knowing about her desire to study further and work, her better half gave her all the support she needed. God blessed them with an adorable son. Everything was so beautiful that anyone could envy her. And then suddenly one day, her life took a shocking turn. Amara lost her husband in a sudden heart attack. It was a major turning point in her life. Their son and her entire life were in front of her. But she gathered all the courage and stood again – for her son. She learned to smile and laugh again – for her son; she learned to live life again – for her son. In this journey, she got the support from Chris, her very old college friend who wanted to marry her but couldn’t say this to her. He was her best friend. Life moved on; she moved on. Sam was also about to settle in his career. Amara didn’t know; God was going to test her one more time. Her son met with an accident, and chances of his survival were almost minimum. He couldn’t come back from this fatal accident. Now, the only reason for which she was holding up so strong was also gone.
That was the time when Chris stood by her side. She needed that. She needed a shoulder to cry out loud. She needed someone to just be there for her. She started her life again, and Chris was the strong pillar she can lean on whenever she felt tired. Chris waited these many years for her. When Amara got married, he thought of moving on, but he couldn’t. Today they were together again, and soon they were going to tie a knot.
While she was engrossed in her memories, someone knocked at the door. Her friend came to get her. Amara came in the present moment. She was a new Amara today. A beautiful bride who was going to start a new life with her best friend. She was leaving behind all the doubts, questions, uncertainty. She was going to embrace this new life with an open heart. After all, Chris had taught her to adore womanhood again. And Sam gave her the courage to embrace this new beginning.
