Hello Friends,
We all want some change in our home decoration time to time. Festivals gives us another reason to do that. Usually, before Diwali, we all start to put a few extra touches to our home decoration. Along with exotic dishes, giving a new look to interior also sets anyone in the festive mood. I personally like Indian/ethnic touch to my decor whether it be festival or routine. Candles, Mirrors, Flowers, Bells, Hanging wall pieces are perfect for festival season. Here are some ideas that can help you decorate your home this festival season.
Rangoli:
Rangoli is all time favorite Diwali decor. Rangoli can be made with colored powder. With time, flowers have taken place of colored powder. Using flowers for rangoli is a perfect option if you want use it on table. You can place a candle in the centre. If you are organizing a party then make it on the floor and keep that as a photo booth.
Decorative Candles
With decorative candles, you can easily change the look of a table whether it be a center table or a side table. You can ask your child to work on this project with you. You can also use these decorative candles to serve your purpose of floating candles with some flowers. Now a days, all the stores are filled with glitter flowers and birds. Use them to add an extra touch. They can be a perfect Diwali gift for your guests.

Wall Decoration:
Paintings, decorative mirrors can be an easy option for filling up wall spaces and to make any corner of your house appealing. I got this mirror from Ikea and decorated it with colored stones, pearls. One of my old dupatta (long scarf) came handy and a perfect matching for my decorative mirror.

Table decoration:
When it comes to table decoration, we have many options as candles, flowers or rangoli. We can change it according to the season. I am working on few rangoli cut outs to go with my candles. I will share them very soon.
Flowers are everybody’s all time favorite. Flowers decoration comes handy during festivals. I had this old Wine case that my brother-in-law had gifted me. I used it for giving my flowers a resting place. I took all variety of flowers and start arranging them in this wine case. In no time, this wine case got converted into a flower holder. This looks very nice at the entry way or on side table.
Adding a few extra personal touches here and there can change the look of any room. I am sure you too must have started decorating your house for the upcoming festival. Share you home decoration ideas (pictures would be great).
Happy Diwali in advance!!
