When your kids come home after having a Valentine party a school, they want to extent the celebration with you at home. Every time, getting store bought cookies is not an ideal option. These coconut paneer hearts are a perfect option if you want to get your kids involved in it. You can change the shape if you like. This quick valentine dessert doesn’t taste very sweet so if you have guests over who don’t like to much of sweet then you can serve them this.

Frankly speaking,  I didn’t plan to make these Coconut-Paneer Hearts. But I had a small block of paneer and very little condensed milk which I wanted to finish. With condensed milk, you can make so many sweets in no time. I mixed paneer, condensed milk, coconut and cooked it for few minutes. And yes, I added Milk powder to the mixture. I first rolled them into ladoos but then realized that valentine is around the corner and it’s almost time for the weekly post. So, I decided to make heart shaped sweets. I wanted to make pink and red hearts but my daughter wanted green and yellow too. Here you have it. Perfect, easy Valentine Dessert – Coconut Paneer Hearts

Coconut-Paneer Hearts

You will need: 

  • Paneer- 1 cup, grated
  • Condensed milk- ½ cup and little more
  • Desiccated Coconut – 5-6 spoons + little more (for coating the hearts)
  • Milk Powder- 5-6 spoons, as a thickening agent
  • Food color

Let’s start:

  • First, take grated paneer in a plate and further mash it with the base of your palm.
  • In a non-stick pan, add paneer, condensed milk. Let that cook for a while. Keep pressing with the spatula so break all the paneer balls. Now, add desiccated coconut and milk powder.
  • Keep stirring. After few minutes you will see the mixture will start forming a ball.
  • Take it out into a plate. And let that cool. Add cardamom powder.
  • For the different color hearts, divide the mixture into three balls. And add 1-2 drops of food color. Mix it well.
  • Take a small portion and start making hearts.
  • Coat them with desiccated coconut.
  • Coconut-Paneer Hearts are ready.
