Plot:

Set in the small town of Saffron Falls, three best friends who are inseparable, discover a magic cookbook that spans generations wide and has a long history. The never-ending book contains magical recipes, such as Shut Em’ Up Shortcake- used to make someone go on mute. But what they did not know is that each-and-every method has a downside, and the one who adds the magical spice suffers the downside. Each magical spice has its meaning, like Taurian for time, Parquinnien for friendship, Werpoes for physical spells, etc. With each upcoming day, the girls find out that the truth is more than what meets the eye. With the help of former protectors and witnesses of the magic, they slowly but vigilantly uncover the mysterious facts that lie in their future.

My Review on the Series:

Words fall short for T.V. shows like this. I have watched this series four times, and each time my excitement level was more than the previous one. It is not just the element of fantasy that forced me to watch this show four times; it is also the girl’s friendship and daily teenage tantrums. It is a day-to-day issue that they have decided to resolve in the series. Dealing with magic and school is hard, and they have succeeded in addressing this daily problem in a very easy-to-understand way. I am close to being a teenager, and those regular detention visits, school problems, and BFF rivalries all make sense. Coming to the special effects. They make it look like magic is powerful, and all the cast members have all acted equally well according to their role. I love this show and will surely recommend it to other typical teenagers (or a tweenager) like me.

Rating: 5/5!!! (Isn’t that quite evident from the review 🙂 )
