Happy Parenting in Marathi: My first Marathi show on KukuFM

Parenting has always been my niche. Through my blog and podcast, I always try to share my insights on several topics related to parenting. I feel that there is so much yet to unfold in parenting that it feels like an ongoing journey. I have written a lot in English on parenting, but I always wanted to share my thoughts in my mother tongue. And that is Marathi. Finally, that wait is over. At KukuFM, I fulfilled my wish by creating a Marathi show on parenting.

At KukuFM, you will find audiobook summaries. But recently, they have stepped into original shows, which means the idea, and content is decided by the creator and the team. I was fortunate to complete the process for my first Marathi show by doing the voice-over as well.

In Marathi, Aanandi Palaktav is what they say for Happy Parenting. But we decided to keep the title as Happy Parenting. These 16 episodes series cover some of the essential elements of parenting. I said “some” because parenting is a vast topic. Each topic can be a different show. But I tried my best to compile 16 topics in these 16 episodes. It starts from the early years of childhood, then moves towards teenage, and ends with some important topics like emotional intelligence, puberty, sex education, the importance of music, and journaling for kids.

I feel pleased and satisfied with how this Marathi show has turned out for two reasons. One, I was able to share everything I wanted to. And second, I was able to do it in my mother tongue. I have used dialogues in multiple places to give them a natural flow. I tried my best to use commonly used sentences to give my listeners a feeling that I was speaking their minds. So, if you understand Marathi or you have any Marathi friends, do share this show.

  1. Alpana I am so super proud of you, going to listen to it for sure. I am sure you will shine here also with the freshness of your content and beautiful voice.

  2. Congratulations Alpana. As English had become most common communicative language, people are loosing the grip on their mother tongue. These kind of initiatives are needed and you are doing great.
