The holiday season calls for some baking recipes. Cold weather, blanket, hot cocoa, and home-baked items set the perfect mood for enjoying winter. Coupled with an excellent movie and you are good to go. I am a big lover of home-baked cakes, and I bake them regularly. But cookies are something that I have never made from scratch. There is no specific reason for that, but I just didn’t. Since it was too cold to go out and I was looking for something to keep my five-year-old son busy, I thought of baking some cookies. How about Chocolate Chip Cookies? And the little chef gave a green signal instantly. Now, what’s unique in these cookies? From the title, you must have got the idea that these are whole wheat chocolate chip cookies. They were so easy to make and taste delicious.
The little chef wanted to keep it a surprise for his dad and big sister. But his helper was waiting to click some pictures for posting on her blog. He was kind enough to let her do that. Credit for this recipe goes to the chef’s friend’s mom. We made a few changes. The original recipe didn’t have cocoa powder, but we added some and increased the sugar by two tablespoons. So, let me share the recipe for Whole wheat chocolate chip cookies.
