In January, I celebrated the first birthday of Baton Baton Mein and shared my experience ever since I started this show. I didn’t realize that with my last weeks recording, Baton Baton Mein completed its 50th episodes. To me, it is a significant milestone. No doubt, recording something in Hindi was one of the reasons. But along with that, the love, support, and encouragement I got from my listeners made these 50 episodes a wonderful experience.

When I started this show in January 2020, my main goal was to express myself in Hindi. And to do justice with its title, I picked very simple topics and gave them my personal touch. I am delighted that my listeners accepted these topics wholeheartedly.
There is one quote on simplicity – “The most simple things can bring the most happiness.” २०२० ने मुझे क्या सिखाया (my takeaways from 2020) was one such episode which I recorded without any script. To me it was a very simple episode. I didn’t talk about what pandemic taught me but shared few lessons in a lighter manner. And it became one of the most popular episodes on the show. This gave me a boost that sometimes, even simple topics can become listener’s favorite.
On the contrary, there is another quote which says “Simple things are always the most difficult”. I encountered some moments when I decided to talk about a specific topic, but it wasn’t very easy to compile it in an easy language without losing the depth of the topic. One such episode was “Emotional Triggers.”
I tried to incorporate my NLP knowledge into this episode and explain it in non-technical language. During the pandemic, our emotions were all over the place. There were occasions when we didn’t understand why we were behaving how we were behaving. So, I tried to explain it by giving some simple examples. I am happy that my listeners liked it and also gave their feedback.
When I am talking about the 50 episodes milestone, I want to say that a lot of credit goes to you all to complete the half-century. Yes, believe me. It wouldn’t have been possible without your support. It may sound cliché, but it is true. For any podcaster, the biggest challenge is our voice is the only tool we have to establish a connection with our listeners. So, in my opinion, for podcasters, when they get feedback saying, “we felt like listening to you without a break,”– believe me, nothing is more rewarding than this.
I always say that podcasting gives me the satisfaction of public speaking. But to fulfill the desire, one must have patient listeners. I want to thank you for being such patient listeners.
I want to make an announcement:
As I am celebrating the 50 episodes milestone with you, let me take a moment to make an announcement.
From last October, you have been listening to interviews on this show. You have met many known personalities and celebrities on this platform. In the coming weeks, I will be recording the last few interviews. Interview Series Season 1 will be coming to an end in a couple of months. But my solo recordings will be continued as usual. The reason behind taking a break from interviews is I am planning to do some certifications. As you know, I have another podcast show. It will not be possible to handle 2 podcasts, interview recordings, and 1 blog, along with studies effectively. Recording an interview is a different ball game, and taking too many things on my plate will affect its quality.

I am a person who believes in committing to things that I can do effectively and with complete dedication and sincerity. So, going by my nature and personality, I think this is the best decision. But I request you to hang on. Season 2 will be coming soon. In the meantime, if you know any inspiring personalities who may be interested in coming on my show or if you have any suggestions on who should I contact for season 2, you know where to contact me. I will try my best to reach out to them.
