Summer break is almost going to end. I hope you all enjoyed it with your kiddo doing lot of summer activities. Before the break started, I wrote one post ‘It’s time for summer fun‘. How was your summer? What summer activities have you done? Ours was good. Initially, 3 months seemed like too much. I mean they were definitely too much but we did lot of things. Our summer break was a mix of fun activities, studies, reading, play dates, potlucks. I am sharing an outline of what we did during summer. Check it out…
- Our break started with my daughter’s 6th birthday: We had a Girl’s Tea Party.
- Melted Beads Craft: This was so much fun to do.
It started with my daughter’s love for perler beads. But later, I was looking for other options that we can do with these beads. We tried our hands on Bowl & Coasters.
- Perler Beads: These are the actual inspiration behind the Melted Beads Craft. It was 1/2 hour of pin drop silence at my place. The credit goes to perler Beads. My daughter the key rings for one of her friends. Asked for my help only at the time of ironing.
- Necklace Making:
I called my daughter’s friends over and they all made these pretty looking necklaces.
- Headbands Holder: Perfect for holding your daughter’s pretty headbands at one place.
- T-shirt painting: I saw this project on cutesycrafts. For this you will need freezer paper and Fabric color. We didn’t have Freezer Paper. So, used an alternative. My daughter had fun painting her t-shirt. Next time we will use freezer paper.
- Time in the kitchen: We tried some refreshing summer drinks like Raspberry Punch, Water Melon Drink, Lychee Lime Drink, Salted Yogurt Drink.
These refreshing non-alcoholic summer drinks are just perfect for any party.
- Did some baking too: We made Nutella Marble Cake, Nutella Mug Cake, Orange Cake.
- Desserts: We made Kulfi.
I participated in an International Food Festival at our local library. It was a different experience for my daughter. She was my helper..:) Our Kulfi was a big hit.
- Saved some time for studies too: We practiced the worksheets, read books and Hindi writing.
So, this was all about our summer break. How was your summer? Are you ready for the school to start? I am so is my daughter..:)
