When we know any additional language, I always feel that we can explore many things. Marathi is my mother tongue, and I like to watch a few selective Marathi movies. When it comes to movies or watching anything on the TV, I am a little picky. I do not watch just for the sake of time pass. I always look for a good subject. And when my favorite actors are in there, I want to give that a try. One of my favorite actresses is Spruha Joshi. I like her simplicity, expressions, and authenticity in dialogue delivery. Recently, I watched “Punahashcha Hari Om”. The subject was very simple, yet it conveyed a strong and positive message.
“Punahashcha Hari Om” was released in 2021, which means during peak covid time. And the subject was very apt for that time. This short family-oriented movie showed off the life and struggles every household went through during the lockdown of 2020. Many have gone through that phase. People lost their jobs, and finding a livelihood was a struggle. During this period, many started alternative businesses. Many homemakers came out of their comfort zone and created something of their own to support their families financially. “Punahashcha Hari Om” conveys a strong message that it is always the first step that scares us. We cannot understand what we are capable of unless we give it a try. There is no limit to one’s willpower and zeal.

Dipali works at a Saree shop, and Ravi tries to set up his business. But due to covid, his business goes down, and Dipali’s income also stops. He is trying his best to find another job, but time is not in his favor. Dipali is very good at cooking and has learned many authentic Konkani recipes from her mother-in-law. Her daughter shoots one of her recipes and posts it on social media, and to their surprise, it gets many likes.
Mommy-daughter duo:
Saayali- Dipali’s daughter encourages her to start a Youtube channel and post recipes regularly. She also tells her that she can make earnings out of it. Dipali is a little skeptical about this idea as it isn’t an easy road for them until they reach a point where they will start getting the fruits of their hard work.
Is Dipali’s road towards success going to be an easy one?
Their first challenge is to get supplies for their recipes. She decides to talk to Ravi about it. But he is entirely against this idea. Still the mommy-daughter duo does not lose hope. They get a supporting hand from Ravi’s friend Harish. He is a fish seller and agrees to supply them fishes. The next challenge is finding the right place to cook and shoot. As they say, when you have a strong desire to do something, you find ways.
While Dipali and Saayali are in a dilemma, they find an old gas burner that was lying in their storeroom. They found the answer to their question. They work hard to make this place suitable for their video shoot. And Dipali embarks on her Youtube Journey. She starts her Youtube channel with Dipali’s recipes. One day, Ravi came to know about it while returning from his job search. He gets mad and destroys all their setup. But this time, Dipali’s mother-in-law supports her wholeheartedly. And Dipali continues with her channel.
Dipali’s recipes is in full swing:
Dipali’s recipe gains popularity. And to their surprise, they get a collaboration opportunity from a local business. Another surprise comes their way when they know that if each of her recipes gets 1 lakh views, she will get a handsome amount. To know if her recipes hits the 1 lakh mark and what happens next, you got to watch Punahashcha Hari Om.
