How would you define a Miracle? Something that happens unexpectedly; out of the blue. or an event so marvelous that it seems like it was sent from above. We call this a miracle. And we wait for many such miracles to happen and change our lives. But why do we have to wait for miracles to happen and make our life happy? Miracles are happening all around us, they happen every day. We have to change the way we look at them.

 

 

Even in our day-to-day lives, when things don’t go in our desired manner, when everything seems wrong,  we say “O God! Please do something and take me out of this situation.” We wait for some miracle to happen. A miracle is not always a supernatural power, but we see it that way. Sometimes amidst of all the circumstances, we are confused and not able to find the path. When our dear friend guides us in a particular direction unknowingly and luckily that’s the correct direction then we name it as a miracle. In the previous post, we talked about forgiveness. In fact, this simple yet tough act of forgiveness can act as a miracle in a given situation.

 

For example, you are badly hurt due to a misunderstanding and later hot argument with a very close friend who has been your pillar of strength. You have never expected something like this will happen. And now you are completely shattered. Your common friends are also surprised. You don’t know what to do. You want to clear the doubt but you are not able to initiate. Your heart wants to go back and talk but your egoistic mind is not letting you do it. You spend days thinking about it and making your life even more miserable. But after spending your days in that same state (wanting to make a new start) you realize that it’s of no good and you have to do something as this cannot be like this forever. So, you decide to have a chat (without any expectation). You know that your friend will not let you down on this part. You have this much of faith. So, you decide to take the first step and call your friend. Now, your friend who has also been thinking about you but is not able to take the first step not just receives your call but talk to for good 5 minutes. 5 minutes seems a big deal at this point when you weren’t even thinking that your number will be still in the phone book? So, you two meet and talk about what had happened. You were able to sort out the confusion and are ready to make a new start. You decided to meet more often which tied the broken strings again. Once again, your common friends are surprised. But this time, they are surprised to see your two together. For them, it’s a miracle after the kind of an argument you two had got into.

Now, let’s see the tiny miracles in this. The human brain is hard-wired and it takes a lot of courage and a big heart to forgive someone. So, miracle #1 you decided to make a new start which you never thought about.

Miracle #2 You never dreamt that you would be able to talk to your friend. Meeting in person was totally out of question. 

Miracle #3 You were able to patch up. None of you have thought of it. 

Miracle #4 Do I have to tell you? Obviously, you got your old friend back which is as good as a miracle right?
