How to bring positivity whenever you want in your life?

These words sound so positive. Aren’t they? Yes, they do. Now imagine, if we can learn how to bring it into our lives, how beautiful, giving, and blessed will our life be? Good news is – it is doable. Yes, we all can do it. We all are capable of bringing this change into our lives.  With a slight change in our attitude, we can experience positivity whenever we want and in whatever we do.

A growth mindset plays a crucial role when we think of introducing change into our lives. Since, change is not always comfortable, our openness smooths the acceptance. That’s the toughest yet one of the wisest decisions to make. Once we are ready to embrace the discomfort that will come with the change, we start moving in the right direction. I will not say rest is a cakewalk. Because, we will have to guide our mind and divert it towards the correct path at regular intervals.

Human beings, by nature, tend to think about the end goal. Don’t you think about the endpoint whenever you start on a new road? That’s natural and very common. Whenever we start something new, we have our end goal in mind. All our actions and thoughts move in that direction. For many, it gives them a sense of comfort that they are getting one step closer to their desired result. Now, pause and think, are you enjoying the process while taking steps. Are you growing as a person? What are your learnings in this process?

Reflect on your actions and your experiences. If you are not enjoying it or not learning anything, don’t keep doing it just to finish it off. That’s the first mistake most of us make. We wait for an indefinite time for something good to happen. But this waiting time neither contributes to our success nor happiness.

I understand that many times, we don’t have a choice of whether we like it or not like it. So we have to fulfill our responsibility. But we can always bring positivity to our actions by converting them into a fulfilling experience. How can we do that? We may not see its positive effects instantly, but if we include visualization while doing it, then it is possible. It can be done from daily chores to something complex. Reflection scrutinizes our actions, and visualization gives us hope.

Visualization takes us into a new world and gives us a different perspective. With the help of visualization, we can change any tedious task into the most fulfilling one.  We often practice it when thinking about things that we like. Our mind loves to think and remember happy moments. But when there is a challenging or not-so-pleasing task, do we visualize anything good? Do we think we are becoming strong by doing it, or are we learning about ourselves differently? No. We do not talk about any such things. We only engage in negative talks.

Let your mind think negatively. Accept it, forgive yourselves, and divert your mind towards something good. That’s what makes us humans. Of course, we cannot always think positively or be good. But by accepting it, we bring positivity into our thinking.

I strongly feel that even bitter experiences can be seen positively. Don’t you think they make you wise? Or do they save you from the damage it may have caused in future? Instead of cribbing over the bitter experience, if we can decide whether to continue with it or channel our energies towards creating something worth cherishing, then wouldn’t that be the right decision? Listen to your inner voice. It will always help you in taking the right decision.
