In the Tea Party for Little Girls post, I have mentioned about the Gummy Bears/Fruit Slices Skewers. We used it as a center piece. The idea for these fruit slices skewers came into picture because kids are little picky about fruits. My daughter herself do not eat all fruits in cut form. So, I thought it would be better if I pick something make ahead item, chilled and kids will like. In our grocery store, these colorful slices grabbed my attention. I kept the box in the fridge and they were tasting even more refreshing when chilled.
So, this is how we made it:
- To save the kids fingers from getting poked because of the sharp end, I covered it with foil.
- Now, the next part. Since it was for tea party, we decorated it with small Tea cup cut outs. (Have you noticed, I started using ‘we’ now) This is because my daughter helped me in doing this. She made small tea cups and cut them out.
- We needed something to glue these cups on. For this, straws were a good option. We cut them into small pieces, glued the tea cups. The straw can be easily taken out before eating the slices. Try using alternate colors.
- We used only one shape. You can combine slices and balls…
