You may call it my latest interest in paper craft. I enjoyed folding and cutting the liners into different shapes. They were looking very pretty. My daughter made few and she gave it to her teacher during Teacher’s Appreciation week.

So, join us in this quick, easy and beautiful Mother’s Day Craft with cupcake liner. Let’s make some cupcake liner flowers.

Layered Cupcake Liner Flowers:

Project 1: (adapted from make and takes)

  • Cupcake liners- 3-6 per flower or more
  • Pipe cleaners – 1 per flower
  • Scissors

Let’s start:

  • Fold the liners into half. Repeat the same with rest of the liners.

  • With the pipe liner, poke it in the center and let it go thorough the folded liners. Repeat the same with rest of the liners. Now, layer the liners on the stem (pipe cleaner). I prefer rolling the pipe cleaner few turns for the inside of the flower for a sturdy hold.

Project 2:

(For this, you can combine big and small liners or just one size.)

Fold your small cupcake liners in half, then quarters, and finally eighths to create a small wedge shape. Hold the pointy end down cut a rounded “v” shape from the opposite end. When you unfold your liner, you should have a flower shape. I tried two different shapes (round & “v”). For young kids, you can mark the shape.

  • Repeat this with rest of the cupcake liners and keep your flowers ready.

  • Stack all of your small liners.  You can staple in the center of the stack. Stack the large liners in a similar fashion and staple together. Stick an adhesive foam dot in the center of the large stack, and stick the two stacks together. And poke the pipe liner through the petals. OR skip the staple step and simply start poking the big and small flowers in alternate fashion.

  • Fold all of the petals forward, except the bottom layer, to fluff your flower. The bottom layer should remain flat. Roll the pipe cleaner few turns for the inside of the flower for a sturdy hold.  Your cupcake liner flowers are ready!!

Look at them. Aren’t they beautiful? In no time, we have created these beautiful and simple flowers.

My daughter preferred to use them on a Greeting card. We made leaves with the same pipe liner by simply turning it like  loop.
