Never ending, ever going tales…

I was at my daughter’s gymnastics class. Yesterday there were more visitors than usual.  More visitors, more fun talks. Among them were three over-jolly kids. No doubts one hour passed just like that. But the hero or should I say heroin of the hour was their aunt. She was amazing. I thought of sharing it with you. Sitting there with them gave me an idea to write this post.

During that one hour of jokes and talks, I was wondering how many lessons she taught them. The best part was they didn’t realize how they are learning through a very simple sounding conversation. She was a good example of the saying “Limitations is only in our minds. But if we use our imaginations, our possibilities become limitless.” When kids were practicing on trampoline she taught them the lesson of not quitting and keeps on trying. She gave them the example of Thumper. She said Thumper rabbit is motivating the kids by standing in front of them and asking them to hop like him. Have you ever seen a rabbit sitting, being lazy, not doing anything? We should also try to be active like him.

I was thinking that we all have imagination but we often forget the power of it. Every now and then we keep on emphasizing too much on being practical and facts that we are actually missing on experiencing and feeling the beauty of imagination. We should be thankful to these small kids that they give us a chance to stay connected to this element.

I remember when my daughter was TWO, I was telling her about the Sun and the Moon. I told her a story that after a long day the Sun gets tired of staying awake, doing so much of work, waking us up on right time, helping us in our day routine by spreading his light that even he needs rest. So to help him the Moon comes. My daughter asked me then what does Sun do when Moon comes? Does he says Bye to him and go to sleep? And does Moon eat his Dinner before coming to help the Sun? This is what kid’s imagination is. In their imagination everything is nice, pretty, amazing which actually teaches us a lesson of being positive. They teach us that the most beautiful world is always entered through imagination.

One quote says “Children see magic because they look for it.” So let them see the magic and let their imagination take a flight and fly like a bird.
