Do you love jewelry? Do you match jewelry with your every outfit? Do you remember how many pairs of earrings you have and out of them how many haven’t been inaugurated yet?
Jewelry is every women’s weakness. We don’t need any reason to buy a neckpiece or earrings. We go to many places, collect jewelry pieces, plan to wear them on some future occasions but later we forget it and they keep on getting piled up in our closet. After collecting a lot of earrings I decided to stop buying more as I usually forget to wear them. Now whenever I go to India, that’s the only time I get some traditional pieces. But my daughter is also growing up, very soon her jewelry will start to take up my jewelry space. So, for that, I have to look for Jewelry organizer where I can keep hers and my jewelry neatly.
- Jewelry stands: I guess jewelry stands are the most common options. You can get a variety of stands, from simple to fancy depending upon your budget and choice.Nowadays, you get so many designs which don’t look like a stand but a decorative piece.
- Trays: Many of us, who are in a habit of taking off our earrings and rings at night, must be having a small plate or tray next to your side table. These are good for 1-2 pieces and can be a temporary option.
- Drawer Organizers: These organizers easily slide in the drawer. It looks neat and tidy plus everything is easily accessible.
- Jewelry Armoire: When the collection starts growing, we need a better solution. I recently came across this Jewelry Armoire. It serves two purposes, having a mirror and storing all your neckpieces, earrings in a hidden cupboard.
These were few of store-bought options. Being a DIY lover, I am always in the look for such projects that I can do my free time or my daughter can do it.
- Teacups and bowls: You can use pretty teacups or dishes and use them for storage.
- Recycle pretty glass bottles: Stack your bracelets and bangles.
- Recycling an old wooden hanger as a necklace holder: You just have to add hooks. That’s it. Your necklace holder is ready in no time. Something similar to the above project, you can put some hooks or loop screws on the towel rack and drape your necklaces there.
- Recycling old photo frame: If you have a nice photo frame but the glass is broken. We usually throw it away. Instead how about using the inside cardboard area as an ear-rings hanger. You can use metallic push-pins and hang your earrings. Or Place a mesh in a frame. No need for push pins. This is a very good DIY for kid’s room. There could be many creative ways to organize your earrings.
- Layer dishes: Pick up some vintage candlestick holders, patterned plates, and super glue to make your own.
- Decoupage a glass plate: I tried this DIY a couple of weeks ago. You can get a clear glass plate, printed or solid color tissue paper, mod podge. First cut the paper slightly bigger than the plate. Apply a coat of mod podge at the back side of the plate and place the piece of tissue paper on it. Neatly press it, removing all the creases. Put it upside down on a bottle. Let it dry completely. Now apply the second coat of mod podge. Let it dry. Your plate is ready to use.
So, next time when you face any difficulty in organizing your jewelry pieces, try these options.
